SURVEYING
COURSE FOR LDCA MEMBERS

A
Surveying Course for members was held recently at Old Leamingtonians
Rugby Football Club at Leamington Spa. The course included
an introduction to land drainage, land surveying and levelling
techniques with practical instruction on how to take levels,
and trencher grade control together with several survey
and drainage design exercises. Those on the course received
an LDCA Certificate of Attendance.
Further surveying courses will be held to meet demand. It
has also been decided to offer Drainage Courses for members
to cover both agricultural and sportsturf drainage. There
is a need to train staff but courses are no longer available
as they used to be at ADAS and Silsoe College where most
contractors were trained in years past. We will hold these
courses at the back end of the year over the winter months. |
